Eurodec GRC Promenade Flagstones are a specifically designed paving system to be loose laid onto paving support pads to provide an attractive, hardwearing surface to protect most flat roof waterproofing substrates from pedestrian traffic.
Utilising state of the art moulding technology, from hand crafted masters, the aesthetic excellence of a natural flagstone floor has been reproduced in a replica indistinguishable from the original. The reinforced concrete composition offers robust durability as well as incredible tensile strength. The distressed limestone surface pattern coupled with a tumbled edge detail lends the product added authenticity.
Installation
Before laying Promenade Flagstones always check compatibility with the manufacturer of the membrane. In certain cases the use of a suitable geo-textile underlay or an additional protective layer may be required.
The area intended to receive flagstones must be level and free from debris and standing water. The roof should be laid to a fall of between 1:80 and 1:40. Any defects or unevenness must be made good to ensure a level surface. No mechanical fixing is required, the weight of the product is sufficient to secure it to the pad. It is important the correct pad is specified to ensure the spacer size and height meet the necessary requirements.
Flagstones are a handmade product and are therefore subject to manufacturers tolerances. Accordingly the use of levelling shims may be necessary. In common with all cement based products, spillages from foodstuffs, algae growth and airborne contaminants can lead to staining and discolouration.
We strongly recommend the use of Lithofin MN Stainstop to help protect surfaces where aesthetic appearance is especially important, and MN Stainstop Eco, a water based version for in situ applications.
